For over a decade, Samskruti Foundation has been at the forefront of cultural renaissance in India — inspiring youth, empowering communities, and promoting values rooted in Bharatiya tradition. Established in 2009, the Foundation envisions becoming a National Resource Centre for Culture, preserving and promoting India’s civilizational wisdom through education, research, and dialogue.
Cultural Leadership Centres (CLCs): Youth as Cultural Ambassadors
At the heart of the Foundation’s work are the Cultural Leadership Centres (CLCs) established in colleges across India. These centres encourage students to take pride in Indian heritage and translate values into action through leadership and service. With over 90+ colleges and 56 formal MoUs signed nationwide, CLCs have become hubs of vibrant cultural activity.
Rakhi for Soldiers: A Bond Beyond Borders
One of the Foundation’s most heartfelt initiatives, Rakhi for Soldiers, connects students with India’s brave hearts serving on the frontlines. In 2022 alone, over 9,500 rakhis were sent to 22 forward army, navy, and air force stations, including Srinagar, Leh, and Gujarat. Students also personally tied rakhis to soldiers in Hyderabad cantonments, expressing gratitude and solidarity. This tradition continues to strengthen emotional ties between civilians and the armed forces year after year.
Yoga for Youth: Wellness through Tradition
Celebrated annually around International Yoga Day (June 21), the Yoga for Youth initiative helps students rediscover balance, focus, and inner strength through yoga. In 2022, more than 900 students from leading institutions such as Vignana Bharathi Engineering College and Malla Reddy Institute participated. Sessions emphasized yoga’s role in career success and emotional resilience, making wellness a shared priority among youth.
Samskruti Samvad: Conversations that Cultivate Thought
Through Samskruti Samvad, the Foundation fosters dialogue on topics of cultural, social, and ethical relevance — from “Ancient vs. Modern Education” to “Role of Women in Preserving Indian Culture.” These thought-provoking interactions have engaged over 1,000 students across Telangana and beyond, nurturing critical thinking rooted in Indian values.
Tejaswini: Empowering Women through Culture
The Tejaswini initiative empowers women by celebrating their leadership in society. Activities include essay competitions on historic icons like Rani Lakshmi Bai, seminars on Women’s Empowerment and Indian Culture, and discussions on gender and family values. In 2022, the program fostered meaningful dialogue around women’s roles and empowerment within Indian ethos.
National Science Day: Bridging Tradition and Technology
Each year on February 28, students from across Telangana participate in National Science Day seminars, visits, and workshops. The 2022 celebrations encouraged young minds to connect India’s scientific legacy — from ancient discoveries to modern innovations — inspiring curiosity and innovation in equal measure.
Towards a Culturally Resurgent Bharat
Every activity of Samskruti Foundation — from Rakhi for Soldiers to Yoga for Youth — embodies the vision of building a culturally aware, confident, and compassionate India. The Foundation’s 2022 initiatives reaffirmed that youth-led cultural engagement can be both meaningful and transformative.
As Swami Vivekananda said, “Outwardly simple, inwardly profound — that is our culture.” Samskruti Foundation lives by this spirit, inspiring India’s youth to be the torchbearers of timeless values in a changing world.
