National Seminar on MAHAKUMBH 2025:
Rituals to Resilient River Rejuvenation”, held on 24–25 February 2025, presents a comprehensive account of deliberations centered on the intersection of cultural traditions and sustainable water management practices. Organized by SuJalam, Center for Resilient Water Management under Samskruti Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Allahabad and Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, the seminar brought together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and environmental experts. The discussions explored how age-old rituals associated with river systems can be aligned with modern scientific approaches to foster resilient river rejuvenation, ensuring ecological sustainability while preserving India’s rich cultural heritage.
National Conference on 'Chhatrapati Shivaji's Statecraft: Lessons for Modern India':
In an era of governance-deficit that is affecting the lives and livelihoods of millions of poor in India, the statecraft of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Kingdom, who ruled 350 years ago, is relevant and offers valuable lessons. Chhatrapati Shivaji visited Srisailam during his southern expedition and prayed to Goddess Bhramaramba Devi. The textbooks of India don't talk much about the statecraft of Chhatrapati Shivaji and instead focus on his fight against the Mughals, which is only half the story. A national conference called - Chhatrapati Shivaji's Statecraft: Lessons for Modern India was organized to discuss these issues.
A Talk on Re-Emergence of India, that is Bharat-Role of Fifth Estate by Sri Suresh Soni:
Re-emergence of India that is Bharat, Role of fifth estate", was the main theme of discussion, where 'Culture' is being referred to as the fifth estate. This was a successful effort to bring the intelligentsia, prominent thinkers, and eminent people in Hyderabad on one platform. More than one thousand such prominent people interacted on aspects of Bharatiya Culture and its various dimensions. Earlier in May 2015, a similar interaction was conducted on 'CulturalNationalism'.
CULTURAL NATIONALISM The Basis of our National Identity:
Samskruti Foundation organized a talk on "Remembering Cultural Nationalism -The Basis of Our National Identity", on 31st May 2015 in a serene atmosphere of Hotel Marriott, Hyderabad. The main objective of this talk was to encourage the intellectuals to take up projects for restoration of the Indian Culture. It is our responsibility and duty to protect, preserve and pass on our rich and noble cultural heritage to the next generation.
National Seminar on Culture, Public Policy, and Water Management:
SuJalam, the Center for Resilient Water Management, Samskruti Adhyayana Kendram, Samskruti Foundation, in association with the Special Centre for Disaster Research, JNU, New Delhi, India, is organizing a one-day national seminar on ‘Culture, Public Policy, and Water Management’. Taking ‘Shaping Sustainable Futures through Culture and Policy’ as a noble theme, the seminar aims to explore hydrological and geological analyses specific to Bharat's diverse cultural and geographical regions. It will examine the policies and practices that influence institutional frameworks for water research methodologies, strategies, and policy interventions.
National Conference on Culture and Public Policy “Towards a Civilisational Policy Framework: Reimagining Indian Governance through Cultural and Technological Lenses”:
This conference serves as a platform to explore the intersection of tradition and modernity in the public policy domain. It seeks to examine how timeless principles from epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharat, age-old institutions based on the principles of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. From youth development to economic strategies, and from digital data governance to globalization, the themes of this conference converge on the central idea that culture is not just a historical construct but a living, evolving force that must guide India's journey towards becoming a Viksit Bharat.
