Viveka-Subhashitam 2025: Celebrating Wisdom, Patriotism, and Cultural Pride

The auditorium of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, came alive on 23 January 2025 as students, teachers, and dignitaries gathered for Viveka-Subhashitam 2025 an annual cultural and intellectual celebration organized by the Samskruti Foundation’s Cultural Leadership Centre (CLC).

Held between 11 AM and 1:30 PM, the event beautifully intertwined thought, tradition, and youthful energy. Commemorating the birth anniversaries of Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the program highlighted the Foundation’s enduring commitment to nation-building through culture, character, and collective reflection.

A Morning of Reverence and Inspiration

The day began with a serene Pushpanjali, floral tributes offered to Bharat Mata, Swami Vivekananda, and Subhas Chandra Bose symbols of India’s courage and wisdom. The atmosphere deepened with the Jyothi Prajwalan, as the ceremonial lamp was lit by

  • Sri D.R.S.P. Anand Raju Ji, Vice Chairman, Samskruti Foundation

The audience rose in unison as Kumari V. V. Annapoorni rendered a soulful Vande Mataram, filling the hall with patriotism and quiet pride.

Words That Ignited Purpose

In his welcome address, Dr. W. G. Prasanna Kumar traced the Foundation’s journey from its humble beginnings to its national network of Cultural Leadership Centres that mentor youth to become ambassadors of Bharatiya culture.

The Chief Guest, Major General Gopinathan Nair, urged students to serve the nation with courage and conviction, reminding them that discipline and selfless action are the true pillars of progress.

Swami Bodhamayananda Ji, in his Ashirvachanam, offered blessings filled with timeless insight: the power of unity, peace, and service rooted in spiritual awareness. His words drew deep reflection from the young audience a call to live purposefully, guided by dharma.

Celebrating Partners in Culture

The program’s second session honoured the many colleges and individuals who actively carry forward the Foundation’s ideals.Representatives from ten participating colleges were felicitated for their contributions to cultural education and youth engagement:

  1. Bhavan’s Vivekananda College

  2. Vasavi College of Engineering

  3. Vignan Institute of Technology for Women

  4. Malla Reddy Pharmacy College

  5. Avinash Degree College

  6. Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet

  7. AV College of Arts & Science

  8. Badruka College of Commerce

  9. Mahaveer College

  10. Sardar Patel College

More than 610 students attended a vibrant blend of enthusiasm and curiosity. Registered participants included 188 girls and 170 boys, with an additional 250 students joining as walk-ins, underscoring the growing pull of the Foundation’s youth programs.


Connecting Hearts Over Culture

An appeal by Sri Mahesh Shetty encouraged students to stay connected with Samskruti Foundation through its Samskruti Band, a symbolic gesture of unity and shared purpose. Sri Vivek Modi Ji recognized the tireless efforts of volunteers whose quiet dedication brought the event to life. The session concluded with Sri D.R.S.P. Anand Raju Ji’sheartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging every participant who contributed to the success of the day.


Harmony Through Food and Fellowship

After the formal program, a traditional South Indian lunch was served, simple, wholesome, and full of regional flavour. Beyond a meal, it became a space for exchange: students and faculty from different colleges conversed with the guests, sharing experiences and forging bonds that transcended institutions. These informal interactions reflected the true spirit of Samskruti Foundation nurturing togetherness through shared values and dialogue.


Closing with Peace and Pride

The event concluded with the Shanti Mantra followed by the National Anthem, leaving a resonant sense of unity and gratitude. Attendees departed not just with memories but with a renewed commitment to live by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, courage, service, and love for the motherland.


A Step Forward in the Cultural Leadership Journey

Viveka-Subhashitam 2025 reaffirmed Samskruti Foundation’s vision of creating leaders grounded in Indian ethos yet ready for a global future. The event blended intellectual reflection, patriotic emotion, and cultural elegance, proving once again that when tradition meets youthful aspiration, the result is pure inspiration.
